As part of the duo Sonia y Selena, she’s sold more than one million copies of her dance hit “Yo Quiero Bailar” reaching number 1 across Europe and South America. Follow-ups “Deja Que Mueva” and ” Bienvenido a la Fiesta “ have become Spanish gay anthems. She was also named Gay Pride Queen 2012 for Madrid and Barcelona. Now as a solo artist, Sonia Madoc is helping bring the Latin flair to Atlanta Pride in 2012.
Madoc’s commitment to the gay community goes well beyond her music. Involved in HIV-prevention campaigns, Madoc has stood behind the gay community in every step of her career. Now she’s bringing her passion stateside as she rides in the 2012 Atlanta Pride Parade and performs at Rush Lounge Friday, October 13th.
