Music News: New Mumford Track, Ellie Goulding and more

After selling over 2 million copies of their debut album, Mumford & Sons is gearing up for the release of their sophomore effort Babel September 24th. They’ve been performing tracks from the album on tour all summer long but the first official release is here.

I Will Wait whets the appetite for those who have been waiting for nearly two years for new Mumford music. Check out the track below.

 

Ellie Goulding’s “Lights” is just about to reach the #1 position here in the United States, but the singer is already preparing to release her second album Halcyon in October. while the singer’s reputation has been slow to go in the U.S. , she’s a houseold name in Britain with a string of European hits including “Starry-Eyed” and a cover of the Elton John classic “Your Song”.

Goulding recently released the first official single from the album “Anything Can Happen” and judging by the track the sentiment will be true for her sophomore album. Look out America, Ellie Goulding is coming for you. Check out the Fan Lyric Video below.

 

No Doubt is reveling in the release of their first single in over a decade. “Settle Down” is a perfect summer jam mixing Gwen Stefani’s swagger (B-A-N-A-N-A-S) with classic No Doubt pop/rock chorus sensibilites. While the album, Push and Shove,isn’t set to be released until September 25th. You can check out a sneak peak of the cover below.


“His technique and ability is just mind blowing! The idea of him working with us on this record is classic,” said Gwen Stefaniof working with legendary muralist and painter El Mac who created the paintings of the band for the album cover.
