International-favorite drag legend Coco Peru will take Atlanta by storm for the first time ever on October 10 and 11, in conjunction with a screening of the contemporary classic gay romantic comedy Trick at this year’s Out On Film, the eight-day festival’s 25th anniversary.  Miss Peru, who shot to fame in that film and Girls Will Be Girls as well as her own popular stage shows, will appear for a Trick Q&A with the film’s director Jim Fall on October 10, with an after-party to follow at Mixx Atlanta.  She will then perform a one-woman show at Mixx on October 11.  Her appearance is being made possible through a partnership between Out On Film and Mixx Atlanta.

“I am excited to not only have the great Coco in town but to share her with Mixx Atlanta,” said Jim Farmer, Out On Film festival director. “Trick is a very popular gay romantic comedy and we look forward to having Coco and Jim Fall talk to our audience about it.”

Having Peru make her Atlanta debut at Mixx is “very, very special – Peru brings an enormous amount of energy and will be an excellent kickoff to Pride weekend,” according to the Mixx management team.
