Taste of Life, an annual fundraiser hosted by the Holy Cross Catholic Church AIDS Ministry, raised more than $8,300 this past Saturday night.  The event benefits Living Room, Georgia’s leading provider of supportive housing services for individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS.

Created and developed by Living Room board member Pam Dorsett and her colleagues at the Holy Cross AIDS Ministry, this year’s all-volunteer effort treated guests to tastings of fine wines, spirits and beverages, and a buffet of sophisticated hors d’oeuvres and desserts donated by local restaurants. A wide range of silent auction and raffle items were offered and the event was graced with two live musical performances, a pianist and percussionist, and a string quartet.

Dolph Goldenburg, Living Room’s Executive Director, reminds people that this was more than just a fundraiser for Living Room. “It’s a celebration of the services and programs Living Room provides.”
